How To Add FSR 2.1 To WRC Generations
Original post:

Can we please get FSR in a future patch? I can't use DLSS.

EDIT:

Special thanks to ZeedleBlot for all links and information:

CyberFSR2 mod link: https://github.com/MOVZX/CyberFSR2

DLSS Unlocker for WRC: https://github.com/MOVZX/CyberFSR2/releases/tag/1.0.0.15

Download both and extract into main WRCG installation folder. Be sure to read instructions in the links and create backups of replaced files.

Thanks

There is ghosting around the car in exterior camera, but otherwise pretty good.

This sounds great! Though I've installed this and followed the instructions but this does not seem to be working. I extracted the files into the main game folder. What's up?

It's not super well documented, but look for the post about WRCG on GitHub. There are two additional files you need for WCRG that replaces the files that check for the presence of an Nvidia card.

EDIT;
Check this page. There's a newer version of DLSS Unlocker, but it doesn't include WRC_DLSS_Mod.7z, which contains two extra files to replaces ones in the game folder. Be sure to back up or rename the old ones

I would also appreciate FSR 2 support. The game feels great at high frame rates, but it's a bummer if I have to sacrifice fidelity too much to get there.

Any FSR has to avoid relying on TAA being enabled at the same time.

As TAA produces way too many motion artifacts to be taken seriously.

Any AMD GPU users have RSR (Radeon Super Resolution) built right into the driver. You can use that for any game.

I think he really means FSR not RSR
Frankly, I think the game should support FSR too

RSR is based on FSR 1, and doesn't really look good at an output resolution of below 4K.

As for FSR 2, this fork of CyberFSR2 might work. I tried it with Horizon Zero Dawn before, but couldn't get it to work with WRC Generations. But there was a new update yesterday to support WRCG. I'll try it out later. It replaces DLSS with FSR 2.1.1, essentially, and you activate it using the DLSS options in the game, which were previously greyed out on AMD cards.

I'm playing around with it now. I haven't noticed ghosting in dash cam view. However, it looks a bit blurry at 1080p output resolution on Quality. I'll try virtual super resolution at 1440p and see if I can get a good compromise between fidelity and performance.

Looks like bonnet cam isn't super blurry, just in-car cams. Weird.

EDIT: DLSS is apparently also blurry in cockpit views. Must be the windscreen properties.

I installed it using a 1080ti and will comment the results. There are 2 extra files I needed to get to bypass the rtx-check,the link is in a previous post. Before those 2 files I had greyed out dlss settings. Now I can set them... EDIT:It works well,it has the capability of lowering my gpu usage at the same settings.Noticed some image differences too between settings.Nvidia lied about rtx only.

Wow I can run it at 4k full settings(except fxaa/taa off blurry sfht anyways) and solid 60 vsync with my gpu topping out at 93% usage so it remains nice and cool, using performance setting.Balanced and quality both push it up to 100%usage resulting in a few hiccups unless I drop shadows or reflections to high then quality runs at 95% solid 60 and cool.

SPECIAL THANKS TO ZEEDLEBLOT for linking everything needed, now I'm trying all supported games I own for boosts.

So it seems Assetto Corsa Competizione also has huge benefits too, shame on nVidia for hiding this from users with older cards.

you obviously have NO clue what youre talking about.

I use TAA and FSR2.1 injection on this game, no ghosting...

SMFH people always chiming in when they have 0 (ZERO) personal experience on the topic, FFS.

Glad I could share a useful resource. I keep forgetting that Nvidia GTX users can also benefit from FSR. FSR 2 may not be quite as good as DLSS, but I'm damn glad non-RTX users have something that's at least good enough to boost performance without going complete potato mode.

Works great for me the FSR mod 2.0.
I have a 1080ti, dlss activate on balanced. Lock the game at 60 fps. And the stuterring is completely gone. Antialiasing is better now with this mod.

Thank you :)
