I don't think people necessarily want, self included, an MMORPG. I hate ARK. ARK is a game I want to play by myself because other players make it miserable. Personally, what I'd like to see, is a well done game that can be played with a few others OR by yourself. That's what I'd personally like to see. I see that the Jurassic Park game is also going to be a narrative-based single player dino-horror-survival game, and that will possibly deter me from buying it because I want to be able to play a game exactly like that with a friend or two. I think having a limited multiplayer option widens your audience for those people who are looking specifically for that.
I get that as well, but it's simply not what we are making. Our game is carefully crafted narrative and atmosphere. It intended as a single player experience.
