The Lost Wild

Modern Jurassic Park: Trespasser?
Well, dinosaur survival games have come and gone many times since Trespasser, often with mediocre results. Will this one actually be different? I know it's a difficult task trying to bring dinosaurs to life in a game environment, but I've grown tired of hearing about games like this that end up with poor animation, poor sound design, poor mechanics and gameplay, and usually in an unfinished state. I appreciate the people that keep taking stabs at it though. One day we'll get something truly special.

I don't care what anyone says, the best Dinosaur game ever is still Trespasser, a game everyone loathed and reviewed terribly on release, yet it was so far ahead of its time that people didn't even have the skills to play that type of game yet, as game physics were a totally new thing back then (1998). Even the game devs had a difficult time knowing how to implement physics based mechanics. I absolutely loved the quirky, difficult mechanics and physics based gameplay, and the dinosaurs were actually terrifying in that game. If you like difficult physics based games with terrifying enemies, go find a copy of that game in the wild. I still have my original discs.

I'll definitely keep a weary eye on this one in hopes it will be different. I would love to see a good single player experience in the vein of Trespasser, as I've grown tired of all the multiplayer games in this genre.

I hope it's not - I don't want another dinosaur shooter. I want a Alien Isolation crossed with Jurassic Park. Regardless, seeing as it's coming from the developers of The Outer Wilds, I have high hopes that it will actually be good.

Could you provide a source for that claim? One dev team is called Morbius Digital while the other is Great Ape Games. The only thing the 2 games have in common is the publisher.
