Hello!
That's so awesome to hear, thank you for the kind words - we're really glad you're enjoying your time with Voltaire!
Regarding the achievement, yes, it does imply playing the game all the way up to defeating Dracula without ever having your house destroyed, and your assumption is also correct - starting a new save will allow you to attempt the achievement as many times as you'd like.
It can be quite hard to achieve as it does require a fair bit of familiarity with the game to pull off, but it's definitely intended as an extra challenge for our most avid veggie-lovin' vampires.
Let us know if you manage to pull it off - we'd love to share in the celebration :D
Good luck!
Edit: Oh and thank you for your feedback, we will definitely add your request for skippable tutorials to our list!
Thank you so much for confirming! I now have peace of mind that I'm attempting the achievement correctly.
I'd love to update you once I get the achievement. I'm currently keeping track of how many attempts it takes me, not including the first play through of the story, so I can see how long it takes.
Awesome, thank you so much. That would make restarting a run so much more pleasant.
"V is for Vegan - Finish the story without losing" Attempts: 2
The achievement shouldn't scare you away from the game because it is a really enjoyable one. If anything it should push you to be determined and committed to overcoming the difficulties presented in it by building strategies and deeply understanding the game and its mechanics. There is no better feeling then getting that really difficult last achievement from a game and feeling super accomplished.
If you think the game looks fun, you should get it!
