Possible Feedback?
Hey,, I was wondering if I can give feedback on the game? Seeing as how you do respond to people on here. Can't promise it'd be great feedback, but I hope you and your team can use it for the future PAW Patrol games.

I own the game on Switch rather than Steam, hence why I'm wondering if it's alright. I figured the games play similarly enough that feedback would be universal. (If they don't, then I'm unaware.)

Regardless of your answer, I hope you have a blessed day.

Hi there!
Yes, of course, we would love to hear your feedback! Whether it's about the Switch version or any other, your thoughts are valuable to us.
Thank you for reaching out, and we hope you have a blessed day too!
Thank you! Okay, here we go:

First, I want to say thank you to you and your team. For a while the dream PAW Patrol game for a lot of us fans was an open world game where you go around and do whatever you want and you basically gave us that with this game. Granted it's not perfect and that I believe largely has to do with budget/time you were all given to make it. That said, I think you all did a great job and I appreciate the effort you all put in.

Now, I'm gonna say some things that I noticed could be improved and I'm curious on how you feel about some of it.

1. The physics are a little finicky. Sometimes the pups glitch around when moving, especially around certain objects and it can be a little jarring and can mess up the feeling of the game.

2. (Switch) The loading of textures can be pretty bad, especially if drive to the story point and start the mission. Sometimes the characters are all glitchy looking in the faces and it can be distracting.

3. Some animations are a little awkward. One example I can think of is when you find the parrot in a tree in Adventure Bay. The way they climb down the ladder is very... odd to put it lightly. I'm not 3D animator, but I do know animations are difficult, so please know I mean nothing against that. I'm just saying if it looked awkward to me, I'm sure many others would feel the same.

4. Voice actors do pretty alright, but there does seem to be a bit of a tone issue for some lines. I noticed a lot of characters lack their usual enthusiasm, or lack emotion outright. I think that's worth looking into as any emotion at all can enhance the dialogue.

5. Speaking of Dialogue, this goes for this and Grand Prix. I notice the characters are acting very one note or basic. Their personalities don't really come out almost at all. (Way more noticeable in Grand Prix.) I could explain more about their personalities and what I mean in another reply if you want, but all I'm trying to say is that the characters, especially the pups feel a bit more empty than they should. The pups especially should at least have dialogue that makes anyone go, 'oh yeah, that's the pup I love'.

Suggestions for new mechanics/,modes in the future:

1. I think minigames should be considered for a future title like this. Pup Pup Boogie in one of the previous games is a near perfect choice every time, though I think an endless mode should be an option so you can compete for a high score. If you mess up three times, the game is over and it tallies up your score. So basically, the versus against CPU and an endless Mode. Could also add a mini version of Grand Prix as a minigame option too. (Like 2-3 tracks maybe.)

2. More pups should be added of course. The cast s huge now, so you have variety. Rex, Al, Tuck and Ella, The CatPack, Liberty, Coral, Moby, Sweetie, Arrby, and Claw just to name a few. PAW Patrol fans love their pups, so the more you have, the happier they'll be. They even like the bad pups.

3. More Collectibles wouldn't hurt, even though this game did have a lot. Maybe have the option to unlock an actual PAW Patrol episode or short as a completion reward even? Maybe even game or show concept art can be unlocked. Even as a kid, I loved that stuff. Unlockable music for a music player can be good too. Just ideas.

4. Underwater Exploration would be a blast. We never get to see under water much in the show, in fact Zuma gets very little to do in general, so being able to use him in his home tuft would be fun. I know undersea life is gorgeous to look at too, so that's a plus.

5. Lastly, maybe an option to turn at least the 'guiding' Ryder voice off. No offense to the dude, but he just talks a bit too often and too much sometimes, and this is true in all games apart from Grand Prix. This option would mainly be good for players who played the game once through already, or are older and don't need the instruction. (Mighty Pups had a too many tutorials issue as well, but that's not what we're talking about here.)

Anyways, sorry if this is a lot, but I'm passionate about PAW Patrol and video games, so I had a lot on my mind in regards to this and the PAW Patrol game franchise. Hope you find my feedback useful in anyway, and again, thank you for making these games. Yeah they aren't perfect, but I love em.
