How to unlock Conte

I've been running around the first areas for around 3h and still nothing.

When he tells you to get an item for him, he says that the Boxer enemies are a good source (or something along those lines). You need to kill a couple of them for it to drop.

Conte is unlocked after a number of Energy Station usages. He will address you after a few times and request an item, which you can get from the boxing bots in the Factory. Complete a run with the item in tow (win/lose, doesn't matter) and bring it to him in the next one. He'll give you the chip in exchange.
