Help for beginner
Hey there, I'm enjoying the game a lot but having trouble finding reliable and simple guides on the web. I'm a beginner still (my time played is skewed because I left it paused for hours on end) so could use some starting points, like:

1) What should I prioritize first
2) Which suits are considered best (if there is one)
3) Any specific items I should be on the lookout for and if so, where are they?
4) What to unlock and where (e.g. in Dead Cells there are certain items you can unlock and secret rooms that are not explained in the game itself)

Furthermore, any tips are welcome. Mechanically I'm doing fine, tons of action platform experience. It's just due to my ADHD I tend to get overwhelmed and get burned out quickly, but I love this game and want to treat it as such.

Cheers!

1) I prioritize on more hp boost and damage reduction.
2) The best suit is the final Thunderio suit.
3) Be on the lookout for hidden rooms.
4) Try to unlock a weapon that suits your play style.:cuphead::cupup:

Thanks for the concise answer :P

Where do I find the items to unlock the last 2 suits? I've unlocked the others and have found some builds that work for me.

I keep feeling like I'm missing tons of little things and since the game is really niche there aren't any guides that go in depth (yet).

Cheers!

For lee suit you got to meet him a few times in the game before he can be unlock. For Thunderio you need to raise the alert level to 1 and defeat him as he will act out as one of the in game bosses. :cuphead:

I would disagree on Thunderio being the best mech. That's rather player-specific. I do think that the universal consensus is that Vik is more powerful than the rest due to his passive and his Arcanum. Thunderio doesn't work for me personally because of how much visual clutter he creates. My best performance is with Aya, yet there are players which think she needs a buff. It comes down to play style more than anything.
i think vik is the best mech to start with, you get him early and you can abuse his massive range to hit enemies. even better with his arcanum that makes you invincible for 8 seconds while you can hit enemies. focus on hp, even better if you get the golden shield evolution.

To me it is still hands down Thunderio. With the right upgrade and the right weapon you can easily brings down the final boss so fast that it hardly has time to react properly to your insane dps. Not forgetting i use Thunderio to waste Anubis at alert level III so freaking fast that i got the achievement "Defeat Anubis Flawlessly" :gcitongue:

Thanks for the input guys!

Stupid question: how do I raise alert level? I probably haven't played enough for this to be a thing I guess?

You'll be able to meet an NPC after the first run where you defeat the boss of Stage 3. She'll drop what you need to unlock the door leading to him.

I found Thunderio to be the best suit. Upgrading him not only gives you an extra dash, but gives dashes the ability to apply shock. This makes the +200% shock damage core a killer. It also allows you to get up to 6 dashes total if you get the +1 and +2 dash cores. You pretty much make yourself the final boss with that foundation so long as you maintain your shield(s), and don't let your DPS fall behind. I forget the names of them, but my favorite weapons to use with him are the red blade (allows for parries with no cooldown, and can be spammed to remain frozen in the air), and the purple dagger (teleports you behind enemy, high attack speed).

Sounds good! I've unlocked all suits except for the last one in the back. I assume thats Thunderio? How do I unlock that suit? I assume I just need to focus on beating all bosses and get the ability to raise Alert Level (which I cant yet).

Yep he's the last one at the end of the hall. I'm not sure exactly what is needed, only what I had when it happened. I had the first alert level unlocked, I was using Aya, and I went into the stage that has the bar and the fight pit (with the big red bouncer at the door). Thunderio replaced the former boss for that instance.

Light some incense and pray that lady luck isn't a ♥♥♥♥♥ that day. You might also want to bribe lord random with chocolate. High alert levels you know....

Btw, you get anything special after 8?
Devs: Oh yes! Alert level 9 where we will make every 3rd input count and triple the game speed :D

You asking question like a non rogue ish gamer.
1) eventually you going max all anyway . Max what you think will help you
2) no weapon better and no class better in rogue ish game, it is always your job to adapt all situation and face unknown. Play every hero to learn.
3) the only most secret weapon is hidden above the teleporter before you start a run.
4) understanding enemy moveset, and use skill stun strong enemy first before you use attack combo is the key of the game
