There needs to be a way to only match with Classic or Modern control players, also to hide the chat in the battle hub

No, you shouldn't be able to split the player base because of some players insecurity over one of the two possible control modes. Choose your preferred control mode and fight your opponent in his preferred control mode.

modern is good for new player to enjoy the fun part of a fighting game. those mind game. I would more like to play with player in the same skill set than what they're play with.

Maybe new people wanting to learn the game in Classic control mode have a much harder time against new people learning the game in Modern control mode?

Imagine if you were forced to play against Diamond players regardless of your rank... because they didn't want to "split the player base".....

Friendly reminder that Modern has a 20% damage penalty on everything they do. The cost is more than fair and if anything has a tangible ceiling. If anything I wish they'd add a way to blend the two modes so modern players would have incentives to learn classic as they got better without having their crutches kicked from under them; it'd foster growth. That was one of the nicer things about Granblue's simple inputs for specials, although I thought tying it to 'cooldowns' was weird.

I already do better than most, and I don't come to the forums crying because of players better than me, regardless of the control mode they use.
If you suck with classic controls and can't stand losing for modern control users who are objectively better than you in SF6, there are other fighting games out there without modern controls. I didn't put modern controls in SF6, Capcom did. It's their game, not yours.

but the modern controls are really bad too.
they shouldn't remove some attacks, just rebind the keys, and not reducing the damage.

Haven't lost to anyone with modern controls they suck, anybody who knows how to play the game will use the classic controls because modern takes away moves important to the core fundamentals of fighting games
