Offline? vs CPU?

Wondering if this can be played like other Team17 released games where its completely offline or are you forced to play online?

Also wondering can this be played against the CPU or is it only against other players?

I know its a different developer which makes me nervous that these options won't be in the game.

I found a X post talking about minigames for offline single player. Still wondering though if there are 4 of us can we play just the 4 of us.
