Players changing characters
Hi everyone,
I have seen some of my players on the team changing character types. Is there a way to develop them or they change randomly (or is it a bug in the recent update)?

Are there any continue to change time to time, does anyone know if there any way to control of affect it?
It's getting kinda weird if you built the team with the mix of characters and then out of the sudden they are become all one type.

Pretty sure players do gain (or maybe even lose also?) some points in certain categories which determine the character type (and hence can alteer their type).

Yet I have no clue if it's event related, player progression or gaining skills, maybe how one talks to them or a random chance per...well whichever time interval is used here.

If it's influencable by players that would be great so one can adjust or simply train said players to make a harmonic team.... yet if it's all random it's a gamble to have or keep a functioning team in terms of characters.

Question hence would be how much impact the types really have and if one can be active in regards to the types or if one is just the victim of fate.

i assume you bought him without scouting him fully. you can see in the 9.6 screenshot that he does not have any yellow skills, whereas in the 8.5 he has a yellow skill.

this happens when your team is scanned. when a player gets better they are highlighted in green and the game tells you why they were improved (time played, goals scored, assists etc), when they go down they are highlighted in red, and again it tells you why they were downgraded, for me this is usually because i didn't scout fully and extra weaknesses were discovered.

I think it is this one rather than the scouting (that also happened to me). It wasn't shown on the players review. I think, but not sure, that it happens between seasons.

Hi, this looks like it's not the scouting. The player got a new evaluation in one character trait: "Agreeableness". This went up from 2 to 3, probably by an event or something. Normally this is a minor thing and has no effect on the player type - but in this case this was enough to change it. It's rare, but it happens.

I wonder if one could use the of the sport psychologist to try and tweak the player characters? (in the future) So one could get some control over player types in case unexpected changes happen, or if a certain player would be a great addition but be the "wrong" type.

The annoying part is that I bought 4 or 5 players specifically because they were artist - but as soon as they join the team, they no longer are artists, but leaders or analysts (mostly)

Are you playing with scouting?
It could be, because they weren't scouted well enough, that's why the character changed so quickly?

Hi, yes tweaking them in the future seems to be a good solution here. Scouting is key, but there are also events that change certain character traits which might lead to a change of the player type. But I would need more details (before and after screenshots) to really explain this for a specific case.

Hi Gerald, wäre es eine Möglichkeit, etwas besser transparent zu machen, welche Eigenschaften einen bestimmten Charakter auslösen?
Dann könnten die Spieler (Manager) gleich nachvollziehen, welche der 6 Eigenschaften sich geändert hat?

In einer Welt ohne Ressourcenmangel bei Entwicklerstudios könnte ich mir vorstellen:
Man klickt auf die Eigenschaften des Spielers, dann kommt ein neuer Screen (wie z.B. der Talentbaum).
Auf dem sind die 6 Eigenschaften des Spielers voreingestellt und man kann die Eigenschaften beliebig verschieben, um zu sehen, wann eine Charakteränderung erfolgt.

Dann könnte man auch das System und die Auswirkungen der Charakter ein wenig mehr erklären.

Allerdings kann ich total verstehen, dass sowas einen großen Aufwand bedeutet und in wieweit das in euer Konzept passt.
Jedoch wäre eine gewisse Art der Transparenz bei solchen Änderungen des Charakters toll.

Auch wäre es eine andere Möglichkeit, ein Pop-Up zu bekommen, wenn sich durch ein Ereignis der Charakter eines Spielers ändert.

Es wäre sicherlich viel zu viel Aufwand aber evtl. wäre eine art Debug Modus durchaus hilfreich zum nachvollziehen was wann weshalb passiert. Sprich eine (popup evtl?) Ausgabe von Berechnungen/Resultaten warum x-passiert ist bzw was "unter der Haube" passiert ist.

Da kann man dann auch überprüfen was evtl. Änderungen, wie Finanzmultiplikator tun auf verschiedenen Settings, oder bei Spielern falls sich da ein Charakterwert ändert, oder warum der eigene Torhüter kaum was hält aber der gegnerische zum Torhüter des Tages gefüttert wird dank 1,0'er Note xD

Sprich man kann dann auch beweisen, oder wiederlegen ob Werte vertauscht wurden oder ob alle Berechnungen so funktionieren wie sie sollen, oder unvorhergesehen Konsequenzen haben da man sicherlich nicht alles voraussehen kann und evtl. Fehler oder unbeabsichtigte "Nebenwirkungen" können so auch von Spielern entdeckt werden was eine Korrektur beschleunigen könnte und im Endeffekt auch den Entwickler entlasten könnte.

Das die Gerüchteküche dadurch bemildert werden kann ist auch mehr als nur Nebensache :3

Had 3 players switch to team players that were specifically brought in to address a lack of leaders (well originally there was supposed to be the correct amount), and the latest one was only brought in because the other 2 switched and he switched the next day. 100% scouting and no event. 1 artist switched to a team player too, and an analyst to an artist. Impossible to keep a balanced team and this whole requirement is a nuisance anyway. Probably the worst way to implement this sort of personality feature anyway, and then it's impossible to satisfy is even worse. Getting really nauseating.
