*The review below is about the Japanese version of the game.

The story is good.
Nothing special, except for an unconventional decision that the main character makes,
but that's about it.
Is it good as a visual novel, though? Nope.
The very thing that makes visual novels "visual" is not in this game.

In the postscript, the author stated that he/she is better at making something like visual novels,
where art, music, and story are combined, than writing a book... Well, he/she has a potential, but still a long-long way from realizing it to the fullest.

Anyway, if you want to experience a "visual" novel with almost no art (except for 10 key visuals),
filtered and blurred IRL photos,
many-many black screens with just a plain text,
badly composed BGMs,
awful sounds,
and an amateurish voice acting (even for Japan standards),
then I recommend playing this... game?..

1) Story
It's an ordinary love story, but with some interesting and unexpected turns.
Some of those turns and revelations were a pleasant surprise.
2) Kiriko
The only best voice acting and overall writing goes to the character of Kunsaden Kiriko.
Even thought she is not the main character, but she is the best one by far!

1) Title
Why is it called "The witch of the Ihanashi", I don't know.
The "witch" part is obvious, but what is "Ihanashi" supposed to mean?..
I could not tell even after reading all the Truth parts.
2) Music
BGM has a lot of hits and misses. Almost misses.
The music is badly composed, with no mind put into unnoticeable/natural looping.
3) Art
The art is almost non-existent.
Only 10 hand-drawn low-quality key visuals and 3-4 poses of each characters.
Everything else is filtered and blurred IRL photos.
Sometimes those photos blurred so much, that I don't even know what I'm looking at...
And what's the most unforgivable is the black screen!
There is a scene when the characters go to the shop to buy clothes, so there is a changing scene,
but it is all black screen!
Or the scene when one of the characters starts cosplaying... and, of course, you get to see... the black screen!
And many-many more scenes like that, with just a plain text and awful action sounds.
Unbelievable.
4) Unexplained events
There were some unexplained events.
I hoped they would be explained or hinted at in the Truth part, but no...
5) Voice acting
The voice acting is bad, but not that bad, not unbearable or anything.
It's just bad for Japan standards.
I expected better. And there were some good performances, but just some...

Conclusion: 4/10
