Are they soggesting new remakes? *spoilers*
Hi! During the game I've found a couple of "easter eggs" about the old titles and was wondering if you think that they are suggesting other remakes.

1) In the last Strand (while playing as watson) There is a little article about a thief (A.L.) that case is right after the awekening case, so should we expect a remake of Sherlock vs Lupin?
I just hope that they would mantain the old style puzzle 'cuase that case is basically built on them.

2)In the same chapter during the Mycroft investigation, you found an "M" written not by the victim. Moriarty?

What do you think? I would love to discuss that with the old title's players.

At the end looking at the Ukrain situation I wouldn't mind having remakes so Frogwares can earn money and take time to write another original bigger game. Agree or not?

That article definitely points to the possibility of a remake and it would be logical continuation if they are making remakes. Mostly I found the puzzles interesting, but the British Museum part did drag at times and there were lot of back and forth, but overall it worked.

The letter M most likely points to Moriarty, first it felt similar to the cases in Chapter One and I feel Mycroft's reaction confirms it. As Moriarty is match for Mycroft and Sherlock and basically beat them in Chapter One.

For remakes overall I would say why not, as I have been enjoying this as much as the original. Part of me would like to see Jack the Ripper remade. The Awakaned remake feels darker and more ominous than the original Jack the RIpper would definitely work with the tone that is going on with this remake. Jack the Ripper is one of the darkest Sherlock Holmes games, at least my opinion, as it has the connection to the real life crimes.

Jack the Ripper with same dark atmosphere would be great

I have the suspicion they'll remake everything up to Testament, but maybe Testament will be heavily reworked to be focused on spy stuff instead. The one I'm unsure on is Jack the Ripper, I'm unsure if the new timeline can squeeze that in there.

That said, they would have to diverge into original stuff eventually, so maybe they'll reuse ideas from those games and reorganize and change them into new stuff. I, for one, think the spy stuff going on with Moriarty could mesh well with Lupin shenanigans, a sort of three or four way battle of wits (depending on how Holmes and Watson are feeling about Mycroft at the time).

This is exactly what they should NOT be doing. We got this poor modernised remake because they needed a cash grab. How about making a Sherlock Holmes game that's as good as The Awakened?

The only older game that ever needed remaking from the ground up is Mystery of the Mummy.

The twist will be that Mycroft is actually Moriarty and that's why he's such a jerk in the games. He's using his genius to slowly take over the British Empire and has been secretly driving Sherlock crazy because he knows he's the only one smart (and stubborn) enough to stop him.

Hey there! As a player who has finished the game, I can definitely understand your excitement about the potential hints at future remakes of old titles within the game's easter eggs.

The mention of a thief (A.L.) and the case taking place after The Awakened could indeed suggest a possible remake of Sherlock Holmes vs Lupin. It's always thrilling to imagine revisiting older titles with modern updates and improvements. And yes, maintaining the classic style puzzles that were integral to the original case would be a great addition, as it adds to the nostalgic appeal.

Discovering an "M" written by someone other than the victim during the Mycroft investigation does raise the intriguing possibility of Moriarty's involvement. Moriarty is a well-known and iconic antagonist in the Sherlock Holmes universe, and his inclusion could make for an exciting storyline and thrilling encounters.

Regarding the Ukrainian situation and the idea of remakes, it's important to consider the financial and creative aspects. Remakes can provide a solid source of revenue for developers like Frogwares, allowing them to sustain their operations and invest in future projects. It also gives them the opportunity to fine-tune and enhance the older titles with improved graphics, mechanics, and additional content.

By earning revenue from remakes, Frogwares can allocate resources to develop new, original games that are bigger and more ambitious. This benefits both the developers and the players who eagerly await fresh Sherlock Holmes adventures.

I'm sure many old title players would be excited to discuss these possibilities and share their thoughts on potential remakes. It's always a joy to speculate and engage in conversations about our favorite games and the potential future directions they might take.

By The Awakened didn't need fixing. It was fine as it is. Frogwares newer games (as well as Mystery of the Mummy) needs a remake or remaster.
