Its been a touch over two weeks since the release of Sherlock Holmes The Awakened. We waited with bated breath to see your reactions - and we were positively taken back by them. We have read the reviews, the tweets, and comments across the online verse and in our inboxes. We saw countless gameplay streams, screenshots, and all the excitement as you experience a story that is dear to our hearts. We cheer when you solve a complex puzzle, or when you comment that a particular level, character, or line of dialogue is your favourite. Seeing how well received The Awakened is made us proud that we were able to deliver a game that you all enjoyed playing. We can’t thank you enough for the support and love shown.

To say the development of this has been hell due to circumstances beyond our control, would be an understatement. At the start of 2022, we had planned to create a totally different game, one that would require everyone in the office to collaborate - as we always do. The war came and tore apart that dream. As being artists and world-creators is our way of life, we used our creativity to readjust to keep ourselves continuing while living through the horror. In the midst of blackouts, sirens blaring, and explosions nearby, we found solace inside the story of Sherlock Holmes The Awakened. A story of one man bent on bringing otherworldly horror to the rest of the world (and who says that art doesn’t imitate life?). Creating this game for you, our fans, kept us going through tough times.

Now that Sherlock Holmes The Awakened is in your hands, we couldn’t be more proud of seeing how everyone is experiencing it in their own way. You gave us the kick to chase our next dream game project, and so that is where we are heading towards. More on that at the right time.

Detectives, we have arrived!

After much anticipation, Sherlock Holmes The Awakened has been released! Enjoy the Lovecraftian madness.

We made this game during one heck of a time. We made it while our country is at war. We faced challenges such as constant power outages, irregular work schedules, air raids, evacuations, losing our homes, saying goodbyes to our loved ones (through immigration, or worse), and losing team members so that they could defend our country. We woked from our homes, our office, and from underground bunkers or train stations. It was an enduring and unending nightmare. But with all this chaos around, working on The Awakened helped us maintain a little sense of normalcy. We truly gave it all - sweat, emotions, and spirit to the development of this game.

We express our sincere gratitude to our families and friends for their unwavering support. It’s in times like these that you feel how important people that you can rely on really are. We send our heartfelt thanks to our Kickstarter supporters for their patience and encouragement through this time too. You backing us meant the world as it gave us confidence that there are thousands of people out there wanting to experience The Awakened all over again. And to all of our supporters, please know that your kindness deeply touched us over the last year. The amount of heart and positivity was overwhelming. Hello everyone,

While the development of the game since April 2022 had always been challenging due to the war, the last 5 months starting in October 2022 have been extremely difficult for our team.

As you may know, initially we were aiming to release our game in a February / early March release window. Unfortunately, the relentless strikes on civilian infrastructure in Ukraine have forced us to work around continual blackouts and redo the entire production pipeline. Due to the effects of the ongoing war in Ukraine, we need a few more weeks to finish Sherlock Holmes The Awakened. We are forced to move the release date for the game to late March / April 2023.

We've created a video showing how we are getting ready for the release, our current situation in Kyiv, as well as new gameplay footage captured on PC, PlayStation 5, and Nintendo Switch.

We’ve been trying really hard to make our planned release window, but the near-daily interruptions of electricity, on top of the missile attacks that come every 10 days or so, meant we had to replan everything. It also means the game itself has been impacted too, not just the schedule. But we’ll do our best and push on as much as we can. Once we feel we are maybe a month away from release, we’ll be able to announce our exact release date.
