Where To Get a Decent Sword Without Langya Sword Pavilion

I accidentally locked myself out of the Sword Pavilion I think. Currently running the Big Stone Sword, but that 25% action speed debuff really hurts.

There are six legendary swords, five of which are associated with Langya Sect. Your only choice left is Nine Phoenix. You can get it by grabbing it off Jian Chi (Langya Sect Leader) after he has joined your party, or from the auction.

There are other decent purple swords as well. You can grab Shadow Sword from Shen Wuqi (the night auction dude), Abyss Dragon Sword from Tang Wan'er. There are also Blue Steel Sword and Dawn Sword, but I don't remember where did I got them.

well if you're after legendary swords then you're only option is to buy one from the legendary auction which is available after going through the main story line where you expose the nine factions plots

So, I JUST got out of that mission and was 10k short of being able to bid for the sword's final price. Does the auction show up again like the Glittering Artifact auction or was this event a one and done deal. And I'm fine with a purple weapon, I just want one that doesn't cut my speed by 25%

It's a one time per play-through. The crime investigation sect has a salesmen that sells some epic weapons, including a sword. You need 60+ relations with them however.

If I recall correctly. You can kill the guy guarding the room to go in, but the legendary swords are lock with a key you get from killing the sect leader.. so you need to kill both.. there is no hard flag to stop you from joining that I know of... Unless you are in old man sect and gone too far. In that case, you are far enough to restart.

The big guide says that I need to do a quest for a "Ou Ye Han" before I leave the Nameless village, which I left the village a LONG time ago. As for the Old Man sect, I'm still part of it. Trying to get into the Confucius temple rn.

Finish the old man sect, but do something like kill the master before event force you to become the next leader.. once you are the next leader, you are stuck to that sect. Then you can't join any sect.. you can't now until you leave... I never done that so can't advice when is best to leave the sect and how

You can join the sword privillian with high enough fame without doing that thing at the beginning. That bypass any game requirements

Okay so it turns out I hadn't unlocked the ability to leave the Unparalleled sect until now, which I did. Though it really hurts since the old Master basically carried me with how OP he is as an emergency summon.

keep in mind that the sword pavilion elder will only give you the treasure key which contains legendary swords, if you agree to be the head sect which locks you in that sect. If you don't want to locked in, but still want the legendary swords you can obtain the Xuanyuan sword print from the elder once your forgery/blacksmith skill is at max level.

With some save trickery and the homestead, you can acquire all 3 Weapon Pavilion weapons without permanently joining the Sword Pavilion.
-Make a save before showing your Xuanyuan to elder.
-Accept his terms and get his key.
-Enter the Weapon Pavilion and make a save in an other save slot.
-Unlock one of the weapon display and pick a sword (you might want to save scum for a good roll)
-Teleport to the Treasury of your homestead and place your Weapon Pavilion sword on ons of the displays.
-Save on an other save slot and reload the Weapon Pavilion save slot.
-Repeat the previous steps until all 3 legendary swords are in your Treasury.
-Reload your save file before your showed your Xuanyuan to the elder.
-Teleport to your homestead and claim your swords.

Now you're free to do whatever you want. It's not an exploit, the game is made this way.

I believe this is incorrect. From my previous play through, I was allowed to leave even after being promoted to the head sect and looted the armory.

I ended up scrapping the save where I left the old man, felt too bad about it to continue without him.
