About the Penglai island quest

I got justice for General Ye, did the ice demon quest and defeated the Nine Factions Sect. Yet I'm unable to get the Penglai island invitation despite multiple days. Only thing I'm getting is an invitation from Duke Chai to the mountain top. Any particular event or requirement I missed ?

You need to actually activate the Calamity of Penglai DLC, it is not activated by default.

Go to the main menu, cilck on DLC on the upper right corner, then activate the DLC.

Simply sleep or meditate for 12 sichen and you'll receive the letter from a homing pigeon.

Got it. Thanks. And is there a way to reduce MP to 1 forcibly ? I need the infinity manual, but it requires 1 MP. I can't have 1MP even with forgetting all Internal Manual, but if I get punished by being kicked out of Taoist sect, I get 1 MP, but I can't return to Infinity Cave without being a member. Any idea about that ?

Getting the Infinity Manual does not require you to have 1 MP, the actual requirement is to have only 1 Int. To learn it however, requires 0-5 MP.

There are several ways (to get your MP down to 1) that I can think of:

1) Why not get Infinity Manual first, then only get kicked out of Taoist sect?

2) One of the starter traits allows you to bypass the learning requirement.

3) Desert region, Chang'an Inn, Shi Wenxiu quest.

For the first option, the punishment that resets your MP to 1 directly kicks you out of the Sect. And can't join it again.

As for the second one, I do think that's the best option, with a save file and inscribing it on the steele in a new run and then reloading the orignal run.

For the third option, how much MP is reduced ?

Reduce your benevolence, get punished, then get the manual. Reduce your benevolence again, get kick out and reduce MP.

Like it or not, there are actually two different manuals in the same punishment cave. But you only get one per run.

I think it's 1000 MP, you can get even lower by unlearning all the existing internal manual.
