How to make custom martial arts

The DLC implies you can do this but I dont know how?

Once you buy DLC 2, you can fuse manuals together. The dlc calls it "comprehending" or making "custom" martial arts.

Once your homestead has a level 5 Stele Forest, there will be a new furniture in the center. Using it will let you combine 2 manuals of the same type (External/Internal) and rarity to make a new higher rarity one with the effects of both.
This also gives you access to a red tier of rarity called Top Tier, that only combined manuals can have (Legendary + Legendary)
The Base manual decides everything about this new manual and the Sub manual only provides its effects.

Some extra notes:

You actually combine the martial arts, not the manuals. This will form a new martial art, as well as giving you the manual for the new art. (You don't lose the old manuals)
You need to have learned the martial arts up to level 10, and both need to be on the same character.
You can't use a newly combined martial arts to make new martial arts. So don't get excited about building up from scratch.
The new martial arts will typically be weaker than others of the same tier, though stronger than what they were.
