New Game Plus Mechanics?
Looked on store page and used the search function for the game to find the full new game plus mechanics, but not seeing anything that explains how they work. Thanks in advance! :)

I may be missing something myself, but there are at least two big things that contribute to your next run.

1. Achievements. Giving you more stats to allocate, more passives you can choose from and the points needed to select them, and some more consumables to start (this is on the smaller side, but it's still there). It'll depend on the achievement.

2. Your estate, where you can store legendary gear and manuals (abilities you can learn) that your next character can take out once they can access the estate. Any estate upgrades can persist between runs.

Like what TheSodaman said, achievement is a big part of it. Getting achievements would unlock stat points, items, and even traits, making the new game+ less grindy. While you're not locked out of any content in your first run, you will definitely have a better character in the subsequent run, making harder contents easier to access.

The Homestead also provides passive buffs, while allowing you to get legendary crafting materials early in the game. It also works like a shared inventory between characters from different runs.

The game also saves your maxed skills whenever you reach a true ending, which helps a lot in future grinding.

You ain't wrong there, being able to start with the non-combat skills maxed out in future playthroughs is a godsend.
Having to grind them up every time would be incredibly obnoxious.

Thanks very much, all!

I did not realize the mechanics would be so expansive and complex.

Mechanics are easier to parse if you have some experience with Wuxia games in general. If so you will find some similitudes. If, on the other hand, you go at it blind, while it is at core a RPG with tactical battle elements, you are going to still have to learn or relearn a lot of core concepts, but thankfully you can use your experiences in others RPGs to help understand how to go at it. Some scholars(and gentlemen) also have made some very helful guides to understand things better.
