Can Qi's Chess Unbalanced for White?

Do I just play white wrongly, or do Black Pieces have an obvious advantage in this chess game? Like they can demolish White Pieces whether I'm the one using them or the AI. Anyone has any tips and tricks for Chess against Can Qi?

Black Pieces commonly Combo, and when they successfully kill a piece they immediately get another move. Op as hell imo.

Both color pieces immediately get another move when they kill an enemy. The problem is that it takes ~3 hits for a black piece to kill a white piece but it takes a white piece ~5 hits to kill a black piece.

Theoretically you can beat the black pieces by making sure that your white pieces never stick together to minimize the aoe damage but it's easier to just save/load until you get the black pieces.

oh, so it wasn't just me hallucinating and making up excuses for my bad gaming skills huh XD.
That kinda sucks, I was anticipating a tactical battle of the mind, but instead I got a scum saving battle of the grind. Oh well, thanks for confirming my guesses.

In the temple game you can just overpower them since your party is physically transported into the game, when playing wheelchair guy I'd just save beforehand and reload if I ended up playing White, not sure how to beat the chess match for the scheming strategist in the Water Fortress (only tried it the once).

I've managed to beat Can Qi as white once by lining up chain kill opportunities. But yeah, much easier to savescum for black.

Didn't figure out a way to win the water fortress match with Zhuge Shenji after two or three tries.

The Zhuge one is the easiest imo. If you get them surrounded by 3 of your pieces, they die instantly, idk why this doesn't happen with Can Qi's chess. It works for Linlang chess but it's kinda redundant with the MC around.

You need to surround the enemy pieces in atleast three sides brotha. And they instantly die cause of rules. Idk why this doesn't work for the Can Qi chess board. I think its bugged.

That advantage is a tactical one though. The person playing black in Can Qi's game can rely on brute force alone to easily win with little to no strategy at all, which is the opposite of how chess is supposed to be. Not sure what the reasoning behind it was assuming it wasn't a bug or oversight. The pieces should have the same stats and even the same moves.

True, Idk what did devs think but this is tedious. I cant play the game if I'm white what the hell, where is my privilege. With black pieces you can just brain dead auto them

if you play white, just spam hidden weapon, epic to legend, to the middle group. it's an easy way to win.

When you surround an enemy by 3 soldiers, he can be killed by a single attack.
