Where to sleep in cities?

New Player here, lvl 15 or something on my playthrough, in the first region i noticed i can sleep in that broken house, then i used the horse to reach Chuxing and on the entire map i cant find a location to sleep??? Im entirely exhausted and also used up all my berries

If you need a free place, AFAIK you can wander over to the Ye Family Battalion camp and use one of their tents.

There's an abandoned temple in Lin'an.

But you should really earn some money to stay in inn. Doing the notice board quests should cover your accommodation cost.

Overall always try to sleep in the inn, mainly because you will recover double the stamina compared to abandoned places and you have no risk of getting sick.

Alway sleep in Inns. It's cheap and gives huge stamina regen. After you get at rep 4, you'll be able to sleep anywhere you want at your house, as you can teleport to your domain from anywhere.

IMO, doing the board quests is a bad idea. It increase your fame steadily. Once you hit fame 6, you're considered at late/end game, and the game will throw at you events involving lvl 60+ with 10+ in every stats ennemies, no matter what your stats and actual level is.
It's better to keep a relatively low profile until you've trained all your main stats at 10+ at least.

If you train STR anyway, you should have plenty of wood/metal to sell to make enough money.

So my problem is mostly the early game. I have read a few times that at reputation 4 you can have your own place for free or teleport and something, i have also read you can pay someone there 10k and you can sleep at the Inn for free or maybe you can join one of the tempels and its free.

my problem is, i just arrived there, im super early into the game basically always broke with a pitiful amounf of money and 200 for a bit of sleep at the inn sounds really really much.

So Ye Family Battalion camp you can sleep for free even without reputation or without joining anythign in particular?

Preface: the price of an inn rest should not be too much of a problem, so the best way should be 'sell some garbage in your inventory, pay for the night and use your newfound stamina to kill (or mine, or log, or fish, or gather) something worth more than a night's rest'.

That being said, there's options:

I don't see it mentioned and is quite time-inefficient, but you can always go back to the Nameless Village with Hua Siniang in your party and sleep for free with inn-quality rest.

Another option is to not sleep at all: fishing is a net positive activity when it comes to stamina use, even at the low-level ponds, and there's ponds in all major cities.

In Chuxiang (I don't know if it has reputations requirements) if you walk by the building next to the pawn shop you'll get invited inside by a widow. If you can win the fight that follows you'll then be able to sleep there for a hit on virtues instead of spending cash.
I don't think it's worth it.

Did you join the old man's sect in the Nameless Village? Because otherwise you can just join any of the small sects and get a free place to stay at while you grind whatever else the sect offers. For the Chuxiang area, it would be the Blue Wind Bandits

Look up tips on early game guan. There is a long post about it. Once you find a way to get rich, inn cost is nothing .. also, fish, and eat the fish for stamina. Then meditate to get hp/mp back. Or get internal that heals you. Or just level up
