This or Wandering Sword?
I'm trying to decide which to get and was wondering which one you recommend? Heroes adventure or wandering sword?

Depends on what you like. If you like generic jprgs where the story is linear then wandering sword. If you like having freedom and a lot of replayability then hero's adventure.

Yes... both are amazing and well worth the money *says the person who owns both of them*

If you like the wuxia genre n esp the old 80s n 90s HK-wuxia TV series/ films, Wandering Sword is like your main character being in one of those. Full of wuxia tropes n shout outs. As someone who grew up with those shows n films, I adore the game.

Hero's Adventure is good too n its more of a sandbox. You get to join different sects/ factions. In Wandering Sword, you can only join a single faction pre-determined by the story script. However, you still get fair bit of side quests that you can do them in any order.

Both have a fair bit of grind, though I find the grind here to be worse at the beginning. There are certain features which makes subsequent playthroughs of Hero's a lot less grindy.

I'd say get both as they are both priced well under most games.

This, absolutely.
Wandering Sword may have better main plot, but it's pretty much restricts you to that plot and variations inside it is pretty minor. There is more variations in side quest, but not really that much. You can't even choice which sect you want to be.
It's grind is also more mindless. It may have some Quality of Life features that Hero's Adventure lack, at least for now, but you unlikely to want to play it more than once.
Hero's Adventure is many plots tied together and affecting each other, it's also designed for you to play multiple times with progression between games, so you will keep returning to this game.
Depsite yet to be finished, Hero's Adventure offers more content than Wandering Sword, much more freedom and much more consequences of your decisions. Even older Hulao games can't compare with Hero's Adventure in amount of freedom of choice.

Wandering Sword does not have better main plot. In fact the main plot is its weakest link, it was dragged on and then stupidly rushed toward the end. The MC is braindead and gimped in the main plot. The side content is where that game shines and where the MC is actually bearable. But still you have no choice in any main plot related missions (the ones they give you affect virtually nothing).

If you can only get one then Hero's Adventure for sure. More content, more playtime, for cheaper price. Wandering Sword has upcoming updates though and I suggest you wait for that before buying (if you plan to also get it).

I would say that Hero's Adventure is the better game. Wandering Sword has a very annoying main story, with many scripted battles that, even if you were easily winning, you end up losing for story reasons and the main character gives wimp vibes throughout the whole game. Hero's adventure has extreme replayability, the main character can become really strong and you have a lot of freedom on what you can do. Hero's adventure has quickly become one of my favorite RPGs of all time.
