Is he really destined to die? Is there a way to save him from Yan camp and not have an assassin kill him?

Back in earlier days he would survive if you saved him while following general Lu questline instead of the Ye Family one, but I suspect he's now doomed to die in all cases.

Honestly, I really hope they'll eventually add a way to save him even if it means to cut out a whole lot of plot with no replacement - especially since you could reach that point with a wide assortment of medical and poison experts.

Plus your own ninjas, but everyone is a ninja.

I could wipe the entire Yan camp including the leaders inside the camp (and steal the seal without killing them) and an assassin could still kill him. If they put a battle when you chose to do nothing at the beginning (young master is bored), they could easily put some shenanigan and end the game there when you rescue him.

My rescue quest is still pending and I'm already halfway at Ye Battalion storyline.

I know. I'm only mentioning how powerful my character is only to be blind sided by plot.

The assassin looks like a Nine Factions member, has anyone tried eliminating them first?

I think the plot beats that allow you to eliminate the nine factions sect can only happen after the emperor events.
EDIT: Dunno about if you're in the old man sect.

The Emperor is weak, even if you brought him back to the capital his internal enemies would just kill him off another way.
There would just be more turmoil since it would be more obvious, unless maybe they poisoned him and tried to play it off as he grew sick from the stress of his imprisonment,

Yeah, there should be an ending to save the Emperor and let him be on the throne.

I think it was sent by King Kang, who want to kill the old emperor so he could legitimately ascend the throne

Sorry where is the seal inside yan camp?
Everytime I go there enemies revived but still cant find it

On the general's table, wrapped in yellow coloured cloth.

There's also a legendary blueprint on one of the shelves at the back of the room.

At some point we SHOULD be able to save the emperor, be aware that for example the crime investigation faction talks a lot about wanting to rescue the emperor and he has lines if you take him with you to rescue the emperor, but no lines for when the emperor dies.

In my mind I can see the CIB struggling to protect the emperor while trying to get reinforcements from the ye family to the point in which if you don't help them fast enough they would be destroyed.

Sadly no, I tried killing everyone whom seems to be the culprit before going to Yuan camp yet he dies anyways.
