How many total true endings are there?

No idea what "check the trophies" is suppossed to mean. I would also like to know this answer. I take it that there are 4, but any others? The 5 I know of are:

1) Peak Conquerer, Defeat the leader of one of the religious sects and the big leaders will challenge you to a gauntlet/tounament.
2) Unite the sects, Get the leaders who challenge you to the peak to "surrender" and defeat their champions to become the leader of the world.
3) Kill everyone, or at least kill the leaders that challenge you to the tournament at the peak, those ones.
4) at the very start of the game meditate until ninjas show up and kill them all.
5) Become the emperor by marrying into nobility then defeating all other challengers.

There are a bunch of achievements for true endings. Check them. There are also some random ending like retiring into the nameless village. Losing various fight under certain circumstances. Like support duke Kang and then lose to the reputation guy very late on

Huh, one of the guides said that Stargazing and Enlightenment (Taoist) was an ending, but just confirmed that it isn't. Skills I'd mastered in that run did not carry over.

Not all endings are true endings. The game calls Stargazing and Enlightenment an ending and an Illustration depending on where you look.
