Jiuli and Melody Mutually exclusive?

Both wouldn't let me enter their entrances when I don't help either of them in Desert Courtyard. Is there a way to circumvent that? Yan Gexing needs to enter the fountain of youth and it's behind Melody house and I want to invite the poison girl to my home.

AFAIK they are mutually exclusive. They patched out the ability to recruit her and still join melody house. You cannot sneak into the village anymore even with the invisibility cloak.

That's not true, you can still use the trick of manually going into battle mode, running past everyone, and retreating. Then you can go do the melody house quests.

It worked with Yan Genxing in tow. The entrance blockade mechanics is similar with the crime investigation bureau but in latter's case you can circumvent them by going behind the guards from the south east.

In Jiuli's case, you need to kill the two guards initiating the same method. You can't retreat behind them as there are passerbys.

Can confirm they are not mutually exclusive. The real trick is with Miao CaiDie, I read somewhere that she will leave Lin'an within 3 days upon your arrival at Lin'an. You need to raise your relationship bar with her for her to reveal the Jiuli Tribe location.

After unlocking the WuXian Mountain and when you first reach the South West region, IGNORE Desert Courtyard and Melody House. Go to Jiuli Tribe and marry Miao CaiDie, then only enter the courtyard.

To unlock the Melody House, complete Gu Chingcheng's quest.

If you mess up the above 3 days cut off, you still have a chance. Since Jiuli Tribe is unavailable, you need to go to the Desert Courtyard. Don't help either and kill off both parties.

To enter both Jiuli Tribe and Melody House, kick all party members out and then you'll need to FORCE BATTLE. Don't engage with the guards, run pass the guards until you're in a safe distance and retreat. You'll get a penalty of -2 courage. Everyone will be neutral towards you except the two guards. Raise your relationship with NPC enough and the guards will leave you alone.

Yes, you can, but you also take the risk of the entire tribe becomes aggressive if you have done Jiang ZiYan's quest, since you would have killed a lot of them at that point.

Yes, that is correct. Or you could just be friends with the Gu Chingcheng, Yu Weier, they will become neutral. Since you'll be doing that anyway.

Killing them is the better path. Case in point with Jiuli tribe: the guards will still hate you even after making the only two characters there inseparable and after talking to other to make them like you (Honor faction relations). After killing the guards, their replacement wouldn't have the script to prevent you from going in. I haven't tested it out with Melody yet, but I'm assuming it'll be the same.

This way, you can still return to both locations. The most essential is you can abuse the poison girl's poison stat increase even after siding with Melody at melody house confrontation.
