Sneak attack/ambush

Apparently this is something you can do while sneaking? How does it work? I can't get it to do anything.

Just like stealing, sneak behind a target, activate ambush and click on the target. You get a minigame where you have to hit the ... I think orange... bar. If successful the target takes damage and you lose benevolence or some other stat (can't really remember right now).

I was trying to do this to tigers in the forest and activating ambush and clicking on them didn't do anything. Maybe that's because I have 100 benevolence and the tigers are not aggro to me?

you need to learn it from someone. Yi Zhihua is probably the best teacher for it, get some wine and win all her money and relation should go up quickly.

It will kill weaker monsters, but only hurt a stronger one. It won't kill the tiger, but it's hp would be lower
