About Taoist Sect

I wanted to grab Stargazing and Enlighment achivment, but have some trouble. I joined sect no problem after doing quest with 2 taoists in all 3 cities. I bet Zhenwu Sword Formation, went with Zhang Lata to Cloud Gazing Cliff, and now I'm stuck. According to guide, i'm supposed to get second quest that unlock star chaser tower, but I got, what i assume, is 3rd quest - to get succesors of 3 sects together for ice prison acces.

I cant acces tower - guy in front keeps chasing me out. I tried sneaking past him, but even with immobilize and Invisable Cape, he still stops me. I'm at max rep with sect and sect master, my fame ls lv 6. So, how do i trigger seocond quest?

As side note - do I need to break in to get Infinity Manual, or just losing first fight will be enough, even if I go in legally?

You will need to lose the fight INSIDE the tower. There are two mutually exclusive manuals in there. You can only get one per run.

Heisen is right, you'll have to complete the old lady by the entrance quest to gain access into the tower.

If I enter tower legally, and lose fight inside do I still get the manual? Or do I need to break in by force?

Also, I don't see any old lady anywhere. Only Taoist disciples ewerywhere.

That is correct, you need to enter the tower legally through the first NPC outside the tower. Then, once you're inside the tower, choose the option of "enter by force" when prompted by the second NPC inside the tower.

Check your relationship with your sect, have you reached 60?

I'm at 100. Do I need to deal with troubles in all 3 cities from fame lv 4 event? I cleared the one in Chuxiang city, but i'm waiting with finishing it to get more money for legendary item acution.

Also, two more strange things I noticed:
- I cant find traveling merchant in Taoist sect anywhere. I coudl have sworn every sect had one on my first playthrough
- My Pao Chunqiu has Wind Cloud Blade learned for some reason. I dont have manual for this - I picked spear one, and taking one on chartcer creation is only way to get it as far as I know. On earlier save (few hours, before I joined Taoist sect), he doesnt have it. What am I missing?

Did you eventually find a solution? I had several playthroughs and i had the woman from the nine factions sect show up before for the second quest but in my current playthrough... i did the stargarzing, i breakthrough the sword formation, i have the sect master and the sect itself on 100 relations. Im offered the ice demon quest but i cant trigger the second one and therefore cant enter the stargazing tower. Im pretty sure normally the nine factions old granny shows up at the entrance of my quest but she doesnt do that now

I just broke into the tower and beat everyone. Funnly enough, that triggered second quest, but iirc I had to talk to sect master first

Apparently you have to be lvl 50 to trigger it. There is no level requirenment for the 3rd quest which is really confusing
