There's no cat

I'm pretty deep into the game and can't find the cat (to receive the mouse shaped ring).
I've been all around the Sorrowless Tavern. No quest no cat no nothing. Help, please!!

Walk around the block. There is a backyard behind the tavern and the cat waits there. You have to feed it high quality fish or the quest will take ages (5 purple fish will do).

not sure if it is "this cat", but the kitchen is in fact behind the tavern, and you need to access it by going in the street north of the tavern, then west.
(it has no roof, it is a room completely seperate from the tavern)

I think I understand about the location you talking about, it has some sort of feeder prop there and General's house across the street. For some reason, the cat is just not there

I have a similar problem. I had the cat, but because I fed it low-quality fish (I was really early into the game) the cat turned hostile (red name) and wouldn't accept any more fish from me. So it was impossible to get the ring from him.
In the wiki it says, after killing the cat you can get it from the inn owner, but even after 20 rolls I haven't see the ring...
I wonder if there is any other way to get the ring.

In this game you live with your acts xD you can also just kill him and get the mouse ring from the owner of the shop
