Combat Stats + Hidden Stats

So i played through the whole game start to finish'ish, and i loved it. My biggest complaint (apart from rabbit hat and other rare drops never dropping) would only be hidden stats/effects that are never explained.

This is an indie game made by almost a single person, in his very early years of game development career, i get it, i respect it, huge success. But still, especially in a nerd-game like this i realy want to make educated decisions, based on stats. Right? Anyway.

For example. Does anyone know what Combat Level means? You can increase it but what does it actually do? Is it worth to sacrifice some effects for better combat level? No idea.

Also, some items secretly increase your HP, it never says it on the card, but some items increase it by 5, others by 10 .. go figure, why it doesnt say anything on the card? No idea.

Status effects. Does anyone know what Frenzy is? I guess it increases your attack speed for a time. Ok, by how much? Is it worth to gamble for such effect or do i better have flat more Combat Level? No idea.

And the same logic applies to literally every stat / buff / debuff / mechanic in the game. Nothing is ever explained, no descriptions, no tooltips. I mean it could be intended, who knows.

Apart from that, top tier concept, great game loop, highly addictive, made with love. Thank you very much.

Stats for gear are shown in the Cardopedia from the main menu, but I didn't realize until after getting a Game Over. It definitely felt a little bit unintuitive and even with the stats I don't really have a good grasp of what is supposed to be better than something else, although I suppose that's just part of learning the game.

I also wish gear cards and blueprints had a symbol or wording to indicate which slot they fit in, since some types can be a bit weird when you're first unlocking them.
