Jokes aside, nuclear power plants definitely pollute way too much in the current version.
Oil power plant is the best trade-off as you only need 2 aliens + 1 wind turbine + 1 oil rig and output only 3x Pollution for 3 HV.
pro tip, you can use a combiner and a splitter to turn 3 LV into 4 LV. It works just fine. But don't try to extend that further for "free energy". I tried it. The game detects that and the output per LV is not enough, if you do that more than once.
I agree, that the nuclear power plant is completely ridiculous. In reality, even compared to solar and wind power, nuclear power produces the LEAST pollution of all power plant types. Yes, there is the nuclear waste, but that is minuscule compared to the pollution by the others. And yes, both solar and wind produce a LOT of pollution during production, that is typically and conveniently 'forgotten' by their proponents.
I think now, it's manageable since the nuclear power plants outputs 4 units of pollution instead of 10. But I prefer oil power plants anyway because I can use aliens only so no need for apartments and food (only for my Robot Geniuses in the Laboratory and my army)
And the aliens created in the lab take housing spaces last time I checked. Also "robot geniusES"? You can only have 1, just like the normal genius. If you try to create another, the academy just loops infinitely.
You can bypass this limit of 1 Genius (or basically any card in the game) with a combination of cards on the Mainland that can duplicate any card in the game.
The "hidden" recipe is (from top to bottom) :
Magic Glue, Magic Glue, Breeding Pen, the card to duplicate, any card (for instance Magic Glue) = 1 duplicated card every 120s, including Genius and Robot Genius.
If you need a continuous production (because the basic recipe stops after 1 duplicated card so you have to manually stack your cards again), you need this recipe (from top to bottom) :
Magic Glue, Magic Glue, Resource Magnet, the card to duplicate, Breeding Pen, the card to duplicate, the card to duplicate
Maybe they changed the alien. Last time I played, the aliens from the lab required housing. Units in this DLC generally don't require food, only shacks, slums and (luxury) apartments do.
At some point, replacing 3 Educated Workers in the Lab with 3 Robot Genius wasn't much a difference because all my other workers were Aliens.
