best weapons?

trying to figure out the best weapons so i can build a good team for the final boss, any suggestions?

Gold armor is always a good bet for armor. Try to get as many characters as possible. That will increase your chances. Also I found that the blunderbuss is an excellent weapon with good damage output. Also always try to give your villagers helmets for extra defense. In order to ensure that all yours villagers font die be sure to have lots of food stocked up. If timed right the moon cycle will end and your villagers will get a heal mid fight. You will take casualties mid fight and that is to be expected. I hope this helps!

I like the ninja stars. If I have 10 fighters, usually like 6 or 7 of them are ninjas.

Boss is melee.

I it is very difficult for me to think of something better than the ninja stars teaming up with an item which allow you to leach HP on hit. Even if you don't hit hard you attack so fast that you can literally never die.
