Resurrection scroll?

Is it possible to resurrect a villager? I have been trying to combine magic dust and paper, but to no avail.

There's no such thing in the game.

Although now that there's a Naming Stone, which encourages you to get attached to your villagers, it would be cool if the devs could add that. Actually, a mini-DLC revolving around death (resurrection, necromancy, a new quest line with a Lich boss, and some gothy and halloween-y stuff) would be pretty cool.

Now would be the time for the Wishing Well to do something? From what I learnt, it is a joke building doing nothing!

Wishing well works just like real life wishing wells.
There are mods in the works for necromancy. I wish the naming thing was standard. You put two villagers in the house. When the task completes, you have to name the baby.
