first shaman quest bug

when the shaman appeared in the world, it allowed us to talk to him and get the ideas for the dlc regions. but it didn't give us the initial quest for talking to him, and the quest is stuck on 3/4 now that he left. any way to fix that?

From my experience, the quest becomes marked as "complete" when the Altar is built. Of course, that's not what's written in the quest so I was weirded out as well lol

I'm having this problem too. I even remade the altar to no avail.

Also having this issue. I talked to the Shaman three times before building the Altar, and the Shaman just left and I could not accomplish the first quest even after rebuilding the altar several times.
