Fishing on the Mainland?

With the new "Fried Fish" recipe, is there any way to bring a way to bring new fish to the mainland?

Or is that only if you do the spirit world *before* the island?

Not sure. But if it doesn't need specific fish I do knows you can fight enemies that drop fish on the mainland, and some of them can be unpacked

Bit late but one way to get raw fish on the mainland is by fighting mermaids in the dark forest through the stable portal because they drop fish that you can easily bring to mainland without the hassle of wasting 2 moons worth of food to transport the fish from the island to the mainland
