Wondering how this game compares
Hi there!

Has anyone here who's played this also played the game Temporian?

I've been asking around for similar games, and a friend mentioned Stacklands, so I'm looked into it, but am a bit unsure about the real time aspects, the cards being bumped around, and how hard is it to tidy things up.

After becoming an addict and sinking dozens of hours into Temporian, I've been searching around for similar games.

I saw you can get chests or something to tidy the board up, and was wondering what the peaceful mode is like.

Found one twitch streamer playing it with their microphone off, so couldn't ask many questions.

As far as i'm aware Temporian is mostly inspiered by stacklands
A lot of people don't like that the board can get messy. I see it as a part of the game and i haven't had any issues with it. Also, some mods help with that greately.
Peaceful mode isn't very flashed out and you can't get some stuff in there. I recommend playing on normal with long moons.

Is Temporian that good? I was thinking about playing it
Yes, cards move around a bit but it's not hard to keep it tidy. If you see it as part of the game (a living world to "manage") it is no big issue. Also, wasn't there a card, Magic glue, that make cards stick?

I can also recommend Stacks:Space & Stacks:Village. Similar to Stacklands but it has "foundations" for cards to stay put.
I recommend playing this game with mods (through r2modman, for example) to address a lot of what gets old about it

Every game is subjective, but I'm completely addicted to it! I'm about 20 hours in, and I reckon I'm about half way through getting through everything. There's a big update coming next week, so that'll be fun.

I also heard that Temporian was inspired by Stacklands, so I consider that really high praise for this game.

I imagine they're still very different games, in the sense that it has no combat and is turn based.

Why have I heard of Stacks:Space??? That a mobile version?

I'm not a big fan of mods in general, but heard Stacklands has a multiplayer mod, which should be fun if it's anything like Temporian's.

Being able to stop the cards from moving around would be quite useful. Temporian has a button that tidies up the board. Does Stacklands have something similar?

I was hoping it was on sale during the summer sale... but if it's worth it at full price, I'll happily pick it up!

Sorry for all the questions <3

Stacks:Space (not made by Sokpop) is on Steam and Android Play Store, but it has combat and is futuristic Sci-Fi, so not really close to Temporian, I guess.

That said, there's Stacks:Jungle, which is 100% peaceful:

On the store page, they have a broadcast at the top showing an early viewing of version 1.0. There's a banner saying it comes out on the 17th ;)
As I said above, Stacks:Space have foundations to make the cards stick to the board. Works wonders. It is a "building" so you need to find out how to do it (idea), but it usually comes when you start to feel the need for it.

Also, Stack:Space includes Stacks:Village that has a medieval theme and comes with dungeons and creatures - great game too!

Ahh maybe I misunderstood, I thought you meant the Stacklands DLC will release on the 17th. They just announced the release date will be on the 25th.
