I waited for that so long, that I wrote my own Stacklands in Space from scratch :)
Note that Sci-Fi somehow assumes that ranged combat is more than rock-paper-scissors, so there's no "combat box" in my version of the game.

Hi,

thanks for Info!

I was about to buy it, but this "2015 VAT MOSS regulations for EU" made it impossible to pay via PayPal!

You must make a change to that, so payments work like in Steam!

Inform me please, as soon as you can have changed it please.

Best regards :)

Hmm... It's not under my control. Payments are handled by itch.io But I see people from DE and AU - who used PayPal or Stripe successfully. Eventually, I may upload Stacks:Space to STEAM, but it is too much paperwork for a hobby game that is very niche.

Okay, if you want to try my version, just email me at StacksEngine@gmail.com and I will send you a free download key. No big deal.

Or, you make friend, send me your E-Mail and I can send per Paypal-Friend the money ??? :)

Some Developer Platforms make it for themselves more painfull than needed, and ITCH as the underground-platform the most .... and hurt also the Devs .... where steam robs the Devs ...

Look, making money on my game is not a goal, it is a hobby. I have a good-paying day job, and I develop my game in my leisure time :)

So, if anyone wants to try "stacklands-like" game but in a Sci-Fi setting and/or Medieval (including mobile - Android version), just email me and I'll send you the download key.

itch.io works for me - it allows me to set up the page in minutes (literally, not figuratively), hosts my binaries, verifies my files with the antivirus, and even advertises the game to some extent. All of that for free. Steam is not easy for me in any of the aforementioned aspects.

I'll be honest, I've never heard the term "stacklands-like" before. But I played Stacklands and enjoyed it imensely, so I just purchased your game, stacksengine.

Can you please tell me what other "stacklands-like" games you've come across? Because google searching seems to basically return any card based game.

Well, "Cultist Simulator" was the first game of this kind, I believe. It is darker and story-driven, but it is definitely the game Stacklands copied core game mechanics from.
All of them seem nice.

Will wait for xmas, have bought Riftbreakers anyway, so my "regime" is also not amused, so will wait the xmas sale on itch.

regards :)
