Hey guys, I struggle with it. I can acquire wolf only via catacombs and similar cards. And when i got it it is automatically attacked and killed. How can I get a dog then?

When one pops up just pause and drag a bone to it.

Possible bug going on, that
now ' once engaged ' in battle, can't give bone to wolf, banana to monkey.

Wolf is more problematic.

Yeah same thing happened with me. Finally got the wolf and had my bones ready but it didn’t work because it was already in battle.

I'm also having this problem. I can't stop the fight and I can't give the wolf a bone

for those having issues with wolf involving combat, it's likely because you can't disengage from combat with a hostile mob card. I haven't tried disengaging my colonists from combat in a regular run yet, so don't quote me on it unless it's verified.

I got my wolf from the explorer pack. When it pops it doesn't attack anyone, so you can easily give it a bone.

Yes, you need to feed the wolf before it attacks anyone. This is tough to do when the wolf comes from a terrain card (though if you pause quickly enough after the wold spawns, you might pull if off.) Much easier when the wolf comes from the explorer pack; simply make a habit of opening ALL packs far from any people.
