Dog-only?

I came up with an interesting idea for a playthrough but I'm not sure how possible it is. Basically, aside from the two villagers the game gives you for free, you're not allowed to get any more villagers. You can train them however you want, but you're only allowed those two. Any other workers/fighters HAVE to be dogs.

I tried it out myself on normal moons, and got decently set up, but I got really unlucky and couldn't find any wolves before my two swordsmen just barely lost against a portal fight.

I feel like it's possible, but you need to be pretty lucky. Obviously long moons would make it easier too.

With the nerf to the value of resource nodes, I don't see a way to get dogs in time for the second portal. You have to be very lucky with your enemy pulls when buying the exploration pack or have to seriously hinder the development of your village by selling everything except for bones.

I actually survived like 3 or so portals because sometimes the enemies get separated from eachother, allowing you to pick them off in smaller groups. But yeah, it's definitely very difficult for sure.

Which exploration were you focusing, to have such bad luck?
I might try this myself.

I didn't really have the luxury to be picky, but I believe it was the Plains that has a wolf listed as a possible spawn. I believe wolves can also show up from the exploration pack itself but I bought like 2 or 3 exploration packs and explored the plains a couple of times and didn't get a wolf.
