Selling to a trader

How do you sell something to a trader? I can buy stuff from them but I can not figure out how to sell stuff to them, other than that a great game looking forward to playing the full ver when it is released.

Most merchants will have next to the buy stuff choice an option that looks like "I want to sell something." A few won't but most do. For example, the blacksmiths in your forts will buy.
