Can not sprint- Playing on Quest 2. TRIED EVERYTHING

I just finished playing Chapter 1 on the quest 2. Had the typical "rest HMD" issues but after a ton of troubleshooting and help from steam threads ( Opened through games tab on virtual desktop) it ran fine and I loved it.

Was ready to jump into Retribution but having the same issues. Changed some key bindings around and after some button mashing was able to get past the HMD reset glitch (still launching game as per community recommendations that fixed the issue in Chapter 1) but now I've run into another issue altogether.

No matter what key binding I apply or any other recommended fix I try, I simply can not sprint in the game. Clicking down the left thumb stick does nothing ( on some key bindings its the only way I can move at all)

My controller is not broken. It works fine in every other game (including S&S chapter 1).

U have it on steam, what do u mean. you connect via cable link or airlink to oculus software or steamvr and boot up the game

I'm either stuck with always sprinting or always walking. I can not do both. The connection/launching of the game is not the issue.

it is the issue, because VD is known to cause this. what part of "boot up thew game via oculus software" do you not get brother lol. you dont have to use VD.

if you hate oculus software, you can boot it up via steamvr feature that acts as a driver/support software for quest2/quest3. either way im telling you if you boot up the game without VD it will work. Only problem is if you dont have cable link, it might be annoying to make it work as they screwed up API support for retribution

Booted it up with steam link and it didn't fix the issue.

problem is that the devs eff'ed up API, and if you boot it up via VD or steamlink it disables steamvr altogether. if you can try to just use oculus software to connect to pcvr im positive itll work for you, as annoying as it is.

i ran the game via airlink, steamlink wirelessly and i also had issues. ran it via oculus software and cable and all issues went away. seems to be the case for few people too anecdotally

The oculus pc app is telling me to pair input devices, but doesn't allow me to select controllers. It says to go back to the previous step to ensure two sensors have been successfully connected. Will not let me go back to previous step. Unistalled and reinstalled. Suggestions?

You ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. It took some ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, ie skipping set up as is was defaulting to rift s and wanted to pick up sensors, not issue with controllers. Could not get pculus app to load my library but... switching to desktop view in quest link and launching the gane directly from my desktop app... bingo. It worked.
