Safes and Secret doors locked?

I'm about 7-8 in game days into Retribution, been having a pretty good time so far, and I see that the secret door in memorial lane is closed, and says I need a key. It used to be open in chapter 1, and I would hit it up for a shotgun and rifle, but now that I really need that worn Novi for the traders, this thing is closed up good and finding some of the trader requirements is way more difficult than it should be. Almost like one team was programming these random requirements without knowing if the game actually produced them or not.

Just went through the hunt for the worn Nova/ novi. (Funny it use to be called a Novi, now correctly a Nova on my game) Needed 1 each for my last 2 trades to complete the game. They are out there laying around but not very many. Found one outside the Church and last one today in bywater. I think the one outside the church is always there until you pick it up, for the second one I just kept going to places where everyone is trying to shoot me.
I didn't get either one until after the battle for the tower which is the "End of the game", but not the end of play.

I found that the super heavy duty tank dudes carry them. The one I know exists is inside the base at the tower. Depending on how you get in, he's guarding the two big white tents. Unlike, what seems to be everyone else, his gun didn't break after killing him. I did it two times to get my worn Novi/Nova If you need pistol and rifle frames, that's the place. You can LOAD up.

Any door that is locked and made of wood you can just destroy with granades or any explosives :)
