What to do with battery

Hey, I finished the game and I realized that I still have the battery. Never in the mission, you give the battery to the pawns king even if he told you to. Why, and what am I supposed to do? Do I store in the chess forever or did I glished the game? Any help...

Almost forgot to tell, he is still alive. When I had the opportunity to let him die or not, I made his daughter didn't kill him.

You going to get the battery is just the Pawn King's way of getting you out to where Gerik wants to talk to you. It's just decoration at this point. I think that's ridiculous, considering the Pawn King isn't wrong that batteries are a rare commodity since they aren't being made anymore. You'd think that YOU could use it to make something, but apparently not. I can only assume that at some point you were SUPPOSED to, but it's cut content now. It might not be and it was always just bait, but if not then why have it still glow purple after you've collected it like it's still important? Or why have it glow at all? Maybe we'll have a use for it if there's a chapter 3.

besides, it has that purple glow mission items have, and yet, i had to store it in the normal slots in the backpack. Did they fix that at some point?

it's still at the normal slot for backpack, they did not fix it.

They honestly should have made a secret way of cheesing enemies at the end if you kept the battery to reward us for holding on to it from that point or allow us to install it in the resting place and add more lighting to the area.

during my first walkthrough i completed the quest, it seems you need to do it asap and keep your radio on 65. when the desiree mission kicks in the story chain is lost.

imagine if you could find a chainsaw that takes that battery so you just have a unlimited use saw xD

I DID think for a time that this was exactly what would happen. It also occurred to me that our guy's place could use a TV and maybe you could scrounge one of the small ones that you sometimes see in mobile campers (which are all over the place in this game yet you can't look in any of them) and hook up pacman or something to it, but no.
