i had normal pcvr before getting a quest 2 and i like it 100% more then wired. more freedome in movement and no wires everywhere

Why would I regret it? It got great sound, perfectly register every movement, no blind zones, crystal clear 5k display, only thing that wasn't that great was the controllers (probably the best for shooting games, but sucked for other games), but those I replaced with index controllers anyhow.

BTW, the answer for the discussion is to use the quest 2 controller profile, via the steam controller options in game.

you press the menu botton on the left controller, the in-game steam menu will pop up,go to controller bindings, custom and then click "choose another". The quest 2 community profile should be among the first you see.

Same problem here, with virtual desktop, in first chapter, i had same problem, but fixed after use a community binding for touch controller, i think we need same bind here.

This was the fix for me with the first game. Community bindings saving the day.
