So I rarely write a review. I usually only write a review if I really like a game. This is NOT that case. The way this game is advertised on Steam I thought it was an 80's music VR game. On the main page it says 80's mixtape on the main picture. The first video advertising the game is of a 80's song by Ah-Ha. Now I will admit I usually do better research before buying a game so part of this is on me but I also think the advertising is a little misleading. All the 80's songs are DLC, there are very few of them and the songs, in my humble opinion, were not that great. The base songs that came with the game I also did not like. I also really didn't care for the gameplay either. I bought the Gorillaz DLC which was "OK" and didn't even get through all of those songs before I called it quit and asked for my money back. Needless to say, I don't recommend this game.

- Synth Riders is the best experience I've had with a VR rhythm game. Mechanically sound, intuitive, and never feels like it's the game at fault when you mess up. Not to mention, a polished interface! The cherry on top is the inclusion of bands like Gunship, FM-84, and most importantly, The Midnight! They were a selling point just by themselves. Only feel bad for facebook oculus quest users, where tracking won't be able to keep up with Valve Index tracking when it matters the most.

The other positive reviews are here for good reason, and I'd be hard-pressed to find anything negative to say about it. Well worth the purchase!
