Touch too difficult
Does anyone agree that it's a bit too difficult to finish a campaign? I have like 6 38/40 runs so far, just keep getting screwed in the end. Which sucks because I can't unlock half the game

sometimes its just really really rough; i think the starting pool does not have enough towers in it to consistently meat the required dps; it started to become easier as i unlocked more tiles
its a step up from the demo for sure. i like it.

try the daily challenge and it will give you the same cards every time, so you can do a bit better each time if you plan it out

I do think they will loose a lot of people early on due to the shear difficulty in the first maps. Until you unlock cards at 35 on the initial isle, it may take 50 runs. I think a difficulty slider would be huge in either bumping up the amount of towers seen, or bomb/bridge availability. Even delaying the spawning of the 2nd and 3rd runs for a turn or 2

It's not difficult, it's just totally random and not fun at all.

I've done a few runs and I can't get past round 29. I think it's the same reason I quit playing Terraformers - the RNG keeps screwing me over, and I immediately check out if I don't get a good start.

EDIT: For example, one tip is to place AoE towers near the spawn point, right? The game just doesn't give me any unless I spend all of my gold, and even then that's not a guarantee.

At least Risk of Rain 1 and 2 has an Artifact that you can earn that outright removes the RNG from the item selection. Basically it replaces the normally random drops with objects that, when interacted with, shows a menu of all the available items of the same rarity. And you can pick one of them.

I think there should be two difficulty settings: "easy" should by surviving 20 waves, "normal" should be 30. After finishing normal, you unlock the hard campaigns of 40 waves that then function just like gauntlet (incrementally increasing difficulty).

Since it doesn't advertise itself as a brutally hard game, I don't think there's any benefit to starting out so hard.

I also think they could tweak a few other things too -- like increase treasure chest spawns a bit.

I am very much enjoying it, but it is just the slightest bit too hard, I keep getting to like 34 and failing
