That's too bad, I only discovered its existence a few days ago and didn't know it was time limited.
I dont really get why developpers do such things, unless the demo is not representative of the final game anymore (which is likely not the case here).
Thanks for the info nonetheless
I have both games as well but was lucky enough to play the demo.
I have a Lenovo Legion 5 laptop with an RTX 3050 graphics card, so whilst it's not the best, it's not the worst and I have to say that the graphics are really good on this, better than I expected.
The only negative criticism is that the lighting effects on the first part of the demo make it look a bit washed out, as though the contrast has been turned up too high. The Gamma option doesn't seem to make much difference to it either, but hopefully this will be fixed on the final release version.
I am tempted to purchase it straight away but not 100% sure I will do as I am worried that it will be too much like the previous ones.
The different graphics of the lighthouse are really nice and level 5 of the demo showed you collecting a lamp that you can use to not only light up darker areas (increasing the atmosphere) but also to turn it hot so it burns the ghost, albeit temporarily, so you can go past it and then kill it again and again, whilst it keeps saying for you to leave.
I have done a YouTube video review of the demo if you're interested to see what it looks like.
Search for Multi Retro Man and it's one of my last videos I've released. Hopefully it'll help you decide whether it will work okay on your device. :)
Hey, thanks for your reply. I did check your video to see how the demo looks.
Although it does look really beautiful running on Unreal Engine 5, I realized that I definitively would have been more enthousiastic if it were a 100% original game and not mostly a remake of the original ones (which I did enjoy back in the day though).
I know there are completely new bits to it and the lighthouse story which is completely new, but I'll probably wait a bit for a sale and not buy it full price at launch.
Too bad Amnesia The Bunker seems to be so short because it might have been a nice alternative for the moment, but I guess I'll wait a bit before buying this one as well.
