Where you get it's a prequel? To my understanding (I could be wrong). it is indeed a remake. with Same house (Lof1), Same Boat (Lof2), Same Characters. but with new story telling, New story lines. I heard you can play as a mother in this one. (From the 1st LoF) New additional contents within the LoF, So lot more stuff to do. Idk about the Boat level since they didn't give much info. I guess we have to wait and see on that one.

I saw ign's trailer today whithout "s" , also on steam's page but in this forum it's fears !

They changed games' names in Steam:
Layers of Fear -> Layers of Fear (2016)
Layers of Fear 2 -> Layers of Fear 2 (2019)
Layers of Fears -> Layers of Fear

While on Xbox store new game is called "Layers of Fear (2023)" and old games retain their original names.
