Did the game shown off on Kickstarter even exist?

People complained that it looked too much like RimWorld so you change the art style to something cool but then get rid of all of it? Why would you get do that to just to transition to 3D? So you can buy slop off of asset stores?

That would be my guess as well.
I don't understand how moving from 2D to 3D makes it any easier, unless you just buy the assets instead of creating them yourself.

So I think we will get another "same old same old" whatever game instead of the game we were promised in the Kickstarter.
