Skyrim Special Edition: Creation Kit

Skyrim Special Edition: Creation Kit

Quests and Aliases Broken in latest CK Version?
For the past 4 days i been trying to update one of my mods, which i created arround two or three years ago, i used Quest/Alias in order to dynamically toggle on/off different effects for the player.

I had been gone away from modding skyrim about the same time when i last updated my mods, and the CK was working fine then. But currently, every single time i try to add new alias through using the same Quest (i created a few years back) the whole mod breaks and stops working.

I tried several things:

* recreate the SEQ file over and over. Didn't Work

* Create a new Quest and try to give the effects through that new quest. Didn't Work either.

* Create the whole mod from scratch, like literally fresh start from zero and i've done this three times in a row, and every single time i get to the part of creating the Quest, the mod breaks and stop working.

I know it's a mix of creating new Aliases within the quest, as if i give the Spell directly to the race in spells/abilities, the mod works fine. But it kinda of defeats the purpose, as i want to give the effect through Quest in order to avoid Mod conflicts, in case other mods also modify or alter each race.

So i came to the conclusion that it's a new Bug in latest Creation Kit. Can anyone confirm? or am i the only one having this issue?

I really want to update my mod, and someone suggested me to try creating the mod from Scratch using the OG Skyrim CK... then update through using SSEEdit to work on Skyirm SE/AE.

Sigh, if i must... but all these damn workarounds and bugs is just tiring to be honest.

From what I understand, you are using the latest version of Skyrim SE, version 1.6.1170, right? If so, you need the latest version of the CK, version 1.6.1138, which you can find in the Steam Library under Software (NOT under Tools as it used to be). Then you may also want to download and install the Creation Kit Platform Extended (NexusMods). With the latter you should launch the CK using ckpe_loader.exe.

Also, first open your mod in the CK and save without making any changes, This will update all record and header versions in the mod. Reopen your mod, and it should work for you.

Yes Skyrim and CK all to the latest version.

I think i did tried CK Extender, but i did not ran it with that _loader.exe you mentioned. I'll give it a try.
