Today my CK got a small update and since then I haven't been able to continue working. The CK simply does not start upon pressing the launch button on Steam. It just loads a little bit in the background then auto-quits.

I went on a search for a version to use on my GOG GOTY version, since Steam is now the only ones with a CK, which won't work on my GOG since there is no license id in the launcher for it. when i installed this and i click launch it does not work

I read that somewhere, and what you do is use xEdit to make an empty package, and the Creation Kit can add to that. Is that true? I've been able to use CK to add to other people's mods but I've not been able to start a new mod from scratch. This would explain it....
