Charged punches don't seem worth it

Is there something i'm missing,, or does the charged punches overall are not worth using???

Charge punches are mostly a gamble if you just throw them out there. If the 4 hit allowance on the opponent idle stance is not finishish then you can charge one and hope it hits.
But the best ocasion to use one in my opinion is after getting the opponent dizzy. Either way, charge punches only have niche or risky uses, so i woundt recommend focusing too much on them

I'm at a loss as to what the charge punch actually does. Looks like the same damage...

if you hold it it does more damage, with more time you hold it more damage it does, the problem is that the situations you get to do a full charge punch are very few
