Contacting The Signaller On The Steamdeck?

Playing a timetable train with a class 45 peak loco on the Cornwall West Local. I've come to stand at some shunt signals and I have to ask permission to pass the signal as its showing to red lights.

However I'm playing on the Steamdeck and it won't let contact a Signaller to seek permission to pass the signal, there's no gsmr radio handset in the cab. I know I can click on the phone and it would call the Signaller. I'm supposed to press B but nothing happens.

Any ideas?

are the key bindings wrong maybe? or maybe you should HOLD the B button? because I also had to hold a button back on the playstation with TSW2 before I switched to PC with the release of TSW3

I think is tab on pc then you click on what you desire if is that you want to know

I'm playing on the Steamdeck with built in controls.

I've managed to get it to work, however it only works on main signals, it doesn't work with shunt signals the ground triangular that when off shows two white lights.

I think on Ground signals you have to get permission to pass the signal at danger.
